Controller
Location: SW Houston
Lucas Group has been engaged by our client, a newly formed subsidiary in the industrial products space, to identify a Controller. This position will be responsible for oversight of the accounting organization including ME close, financial reporting and treasury management including debt compliance and borrowing base reporting. This individual will lead and coach a team.
Some responsibilities include...
- Manage the General Ledger, insuring accurate and timely posting of all transactions.
- Preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts and other reports required by management
- Treasury & cashflow management, including preparation of Asset Based Lending borrowing base reporting
- Month-end and year-end close process
- Analyze financial information, data, and trends, and provide recommendations to management
- Coordinate and manage semi-annual and annual audits
- Establish and maintain adherence to internal controls
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, 8+ years of overall accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- Audit experience preferred
- Strong analytical background required and attention to detail
- A thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with inventory
