Controller (Closed)

Lucas Group is partnering with a software firm to identify a contract Controller/Director of Accounting. The right person must thrive in a hands-on environment creating and running day-to-day processes, and managing a team. The role will have broad responsibilities
for financial accounting, operational accounting, treasury management, audit and tax. Position reports to the VP of Finance. This is a 4-6 month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Create and handle all day-to-day accounting activities including closing revenue cycles, all associated reporting and reconciliations and posting of journal entries
• Handle and drive improvements in monthly close process
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to internal and external
• stakeholders 
• Manage and report on financial covenants
• Create robust treasury management function and associated controls
• Responsible for accounting audit, including preparation of accounting policies and technical memos
• Responsible for revenue recognition, deferred revenue and accrual journal entries
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
