Boutique firm specializing in professional liability, trade secrets, insurance defense, and business litigation is seeking an attorney to start ASAP on a contract basis. Depending on mutual fit, the position could develop into a full-time permanent role.
Specific responsibilities include 2nd chair trial preparation, pleadings, discovery, contract and insurance policy analysis, and extensive interaction with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel. The position would also entail taking and defending depositions, attending court appearances, and handling additional general law and motion work.
The position would be 40 hours/week and paid on an hourly basis. The firm is located in Downtown LA. The firm is open to interviewing qualified candidates immediately, and starting them as early as next week.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience; insurance litigation preferred, but not required
- Barred in California
- JD from ABA-approved law school
- Experience handling all aspects of litigation from inception to trial
- Broad motion writing experience
