The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Content & Brand Management Director to add as a key member of our client’s Marketing team. Our client is a leading law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach, and is building a leading Marketing function.

The Content & Brand Management Director will build, lead and manage a team of content and communications professionals who will work alongside the firm’s CMO, Chairman, COO, C-suite, Practice Group Leaders, other firm attorneys, and members of the national Business Development and Marketing Team. The Content & Brand Management Director will develop and implement a center of excellence in the firm and establish a team of excellent writers and content managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize, develop and manage strategic content from project inception to project delivery—research, content development, editing, proofing, and project management of deadline-driven deliverables firm wide on a regional and national level.
  • Create, lead and enforce the firm’s national brand guidelines and standards.

· Manage a team of writers who will take ownership of all content on the firm’s website and help position the firm to an external audience with “on brand” messaging day-to-day.

· Develop written marketing materials, serve as quality control for marketing deliverables, conduct research as necessary and generally support the firm's business development activities.

· Work with the CMO, Sr. BD/Marketing Managers and Communications Director on developing the firm’s branding and message platform, and integrating it into all internal and external communications.

  • Overhaul and maintain the firm’s website content, ensuring “a one firm voice”, producing marketing and business development collateral with key partners and the senior leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

· BA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field is required. Master’s is preferred.

· 10+ years content development and management experience within a law firm, professional services and/or Enterprise-level organization is required.

· 5+ years’ experience in leading highly skilled communications and content team in a matrix-based environment is required.

· Experience working at the highest levels within an organization or law firm, including the Chairman and all firm leadership.

· Experience creating a strategic marketing plan and executing on action items to achieve goals.

· Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.

· Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to write for varied audiences including websites and Internet media: search engine optimization, blogs, and online newsletters/magazines.

· Strong leadership abilities, people and project management skills, and an ability to identify and implement creative solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations, systems and procedures.

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) applications required.
