The Compressor Manufacturing Mechanic II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in accordance with established manufacturing procedures to achieve efficiency, quality and optimum production objectives.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- Three (3) years basic electrical experience
- Three (3) years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work weekends as needed
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Compressor room mechanic experience
- Manufacturing maintenance experience
- Boiler room experience
- Hands-on mechanic and electrical experience
Day-to-Day Role:
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
- Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
- Use working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
- Perform maintenance on air compressors, process systems (cooling water), boilers, cooling tanks/towers and other equipment. Boiler room provides cooling water, steam and compressed air for use in the production process.
- Perform water analysis and treatment program to include:
- Blending water treatment chemicals and insuring proper feed rates
- Sampling, testing, and recording analytical results of all water, steam and air systems
- Perform routine electrical, mechanical and pneumatic maintenance on production equipment according to procedures
- Layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
