Compliance / Risk Analyst - Remote - Initial 6-Month Contract
We are seeking a Compliance / Risk Analyst to join a regulated financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role sits within the Second Line of Defence and supports the delivery of the firm's compliance framework, governance activities, and regulatory obligations.
Compliance Monitoring & Oversight
Support the execution of the Annual Compliance Plan.
Track and monitor compliance activities, ensuring actions are completed on time.
Assist with the review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and control documentation.
Regulatory Advice & Business Support
Provide guidance and interpretation of regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
Respond to compliance queries and manage the compliance mailbox.
Review and approve business communications, internal policies, and customer-related documentation.
Prepare input for Board and Committee reports.
Support the governance process by maintaining accurate records, logs, and registers.
Ensure risks, issues, and breaches are identified, escalated, and tracked appropriately.
Contribute to risk assessments and control testing activities.
Identify emerging risks and support remediation actions.
Assist in maintaining operational risk and compliance frameworks.
Ensure compliance decisions reflect fair customer outcomes and align with conduct risk expectations.
Support timely escalation and resolution of customer-impacting issues.
2-5 years' experience in a Compliance, Risk, or Regulatory role within financial services.
Strong understanding of compliance monitoring, governance, and regulatory obligations.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CBI, FCA, or EU directives.
Experience with operational risk, control frameworks, and escalation processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
