Compliance / Risk Analyst - Remote - Initial 6-Month Contract

We are seeking a Compliance / Risk Analyst to join a regulated financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role sits within the Second Line of Defence and supports the delivery of the firm's compliance framework, governance activities, and regulatory obligations.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance Monitoring & Oversight

  • Support the execution of the Annual Compliance Plan.

  • Track and monitor compliance activities, ensuring actions are completed on time.

  • Assist with the review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and control documentation.

Regulatory Advice & Business Support

  • Provide guidance and interpretation of regulatory requirements to stakeholders.

  • Respond to compliance queries and manage the compliance mailbox.

  • Review and approve business communications, internal policies, and customer-related documentation.

Governance & Reporting

  • Prepare input for Board and Committee reports.

  • Support the governance process by maintaining accurate records, logs, and registers.

  • Ensure risks, issues, and breaches are identified, escalated, and tracked appropriately.

Risk Management

  • Contribute to risk assessments and control testing activities.

  • Identify emerging risks and support remediation actions.

  • Assist in maintaining operational risk and compliance frameworks.

Customer Outcomes

  • Ensure compliance decisions reflect fair customer outcomes and align with conduct risk expectations.

  • Support timely escalation and resolution of customer-impacting issues.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 2-5 years' experience in a Compliance, Risk, or Regulatory role within financial services.

  • Strong understanding of compliance monitoring, governance, and regulatory obligations.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CBI, FCA, or EU directives.

  • Experience with operational risk, control frameworks, and escalation processes.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
