Communications & Change Management Lead
Position Summary
Our client is launching a high-profile enterprise transformation initiative focused on redefining how strategic supplier relationships are managed across the organization. This program will establish a new operating model that fosters deeper, value-driven partnerships with key suppliers through improved governance, executive alignment, joint business planning, and long-term collaboration.
The Communications & Change Management Lead will play a critical role in driving organizational adoption of this transformation. This individual will develop and execute a comprehensive communications and change management strategy, ensuring stakeholders understand, embrace, and successfully adopt new processes, governance structures, and ways of working.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced change leader who thrives in complex, matrixed environments and can influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization. The role requires a strategic thinker who can translate transformational objectives into clear messaging, effective engagement plans, and measurable adoption outcomes.
Contract length is anticipated to be 6-9 months, with potential for extension or conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive organizational change management strategy supporting the Strategic Supplier Transformation Program.
- Identify impacted stakeholders and assess organizational readiness, risks, and adoption challenges.
- Create and implement stakeholder engagement plans that drive awareness, alignment, and commitment throughout the transformation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to program leadership on change management best practices and adoption strategies.
- Facilitate organizational readiness activities and support business leaders through periods of significant change.
Communications Strategy & Execution
- Design and deliver a strategic communications plan aligned to program milestones and business objectives.
- Develop executive communications, presentations, talking points, FAQs, newsletters, stakeholder updates, and other change-related materials.
- Ensure messaging remains consistent, clear, and aligned across all stakeholder groups.
- Translate complex transformation initiatives into easily understood communications tailored to diverse audiences.
- Deliver executive-level presentations and updates to maintain transparency and alignment across leadership teams.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams to align delivery activities with change and communication efforts.
- Build relationships with senior leaders, business stakeholders, and transformation teams to drive engagement and sponsorship.
- Facilitate workshops, listening sessions, and feedback forums to identify organizational pain points and adoption barriers.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously measure stakeholder sentiment and program effectiveness.
Measurement & Adoption
- Define success metrics and monitor adoption, engagement, and communication effectiveness.
- Develop reporting dashboards and status updates highlighting change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and program progress.
- Provide recommendations to address resistance, improve adoption, and enhance overall program outcomes.
- Continuously refine communication and change strategies based on stakeholder feedback and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Communications, Organizational Change Management, Program Management, or related disciplines.
- Proven success leading change management efforts for complex, enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
- Experience operating at a Manager or Senior Manager level within large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including experience developing content for senior leadership audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and proactively drive results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in management consulting or transformation advisory services.
- Experience supporting procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, workforce/labor programs, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience within large global organizations undergoing significant operational or cultural change.
- Familiarity with workforce solutions, contingent labor programs, vendor management systems (VMS), or supplier governance models.
- Relevant certifications such as Prosci, CCMP, PMP, or equivalent.
