TITLE: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Location: 100% remote EST Hours Compensation Range: $60-$70 per hour
We have partnered with our client in their search for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Responsibilities
Working within our DevOps squad to ensure the reliability, scalability, performance and security of our platform and products.
Identifying improvements to common tasks and self-service modules to allow teams to move at pace across the SDLC.
Designing, building and maintaining cost effective cloud environments for our organization
Collaborating with central platform teams to support the on-boarding of products to our platforms.
Seeking out and implementing efficiencies to erase toil to allow more focus more on project work and lasting improvements.
Acting as a senior escalation point for internal and external customers to provide support for production issues.
Skills Required
Possess current and extensive expertise Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Have a solid understanding of how tools like New Relic or Grafana can help observe product performance and identify root causes.
Enjoy creating efficiency through automation and ‘Infrastructure as Code’ using modern languages like Python or Go
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
