Calypso Front Office Business Analyst / Test Analyst
We are seeking a Calypso Front Office Business Analyst / Test Analyst to support a large-scale trading platform implementation for a financial services organization. This role will focus on hands-on front-office business analysis, test case development, test execution, trade validation, and stakeholder support as the organization prepares for a critical front-office go-live.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Calypso front-office functionality, derivatives trade lifecycle processes, and testing or implementation support experience. This is an execution-focused role working closely with a Test Lead, front-office users, operations, and technology stakeholders to help validate that the platform is properly configured, tested, and ready for trading activity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases covering front-office workflows, including trade booking, risk reporting, reconciliations, and related validation activities.
- Support trade and data reconciliation across trades, cash flows, NPVs, and migrated data to help ensure accuracy and readiness for go-live.
- Participate in model office sessions, configuration walkthroughs, and stakeholder review meetings, capturing feedback and tracking revisions through to resolution.
- Provide hands-on business analysis support across trade booking, workflow configuration, front-office requirements, and user knowledge transfer.
- Work closely with traders, operations, technology, and testing stakeholders to identify issues, clarify requirements, and support day-to-day implementation activity.
- Escalate testing gaps, defects, configuration issues, and business concerns to the Test Lead for prioritization and resolution.
- Support a fast-moving implementation environment where processes, requirements, and testing activities may still be evolving.
Ideal Background
- Hands-on experience with Calypso, ideally in a front-office, testing, business analysis, configuration, or implementation support capacity.
- Understanding of derivatives products and trading workflows, with exposure to instruments such as interest rate swaps, FX forwards, equity derivatives, or similar products.
- Experience developing or executing test cases for trading systems, investment platforms, treasury systems, or capital markets technology environments.
- Comfortable working with front-office stakeholders and translating desk-level requirements into clear testing, validation, and issue-tracking activity.
- Prior experience supporting a platform migration, trading system implementation, or system replacement initiative.
- Strong attention to detail, execution discipline, and ability to work under the direction of a Test Lead in a deadline-driven program environment.
- Ability to operate effectively in a lean, still-forming project environment with limited structure and shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Calypso trade booking, workflows, risk reporting, confirmations, settlements, or reconciliation processes.
- Exposure to model office testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing, or production readiness activities.
- Experience working with traders, portfolio managers, operations teams, middle office, or technology teams within a capital markets or investment environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to surface issues clearly, document findings, and help drive follow-up through resolution.
Engagement Details
- Employment Type: Contract / Contract to Hire (1 year length to start / option to extend or convert to direct hire at any point)
- Location: Onsite in Midtown Manhattan (4x per week & 1 day remote)
- Compensation (Hourly): $75-$85anHR (+ Access to Medical Benefits, PTO, 401k)
- Commitment: 40 Hour Week - Monday to Friday - Standard Daytime Business Hours
- Timeline: Interview starting in Mid/Late July and Starting in late August 2026
