We have partnered with our client (industrial manufacturing industry) in their search for an Interim Controller for a 4-6+ month engagement in the Quincy, IL area. This role will be on-site 75% of the month for the first month, then 50% on-site for the months to follow (4 days in office during on-site weeks). 

Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include MEC (must be hands-on, able to run with month-end close)
  • Closing the books (takes approximately 10 days)
  • Involves significant costing and supporting business operations
  • Focus on savings projects and strategic sourcing
  • Extensive catch-up work on:
  • Reconciliations
  • Accruals
  • Payroll cost entries
  • A lot of cleanup work is required
  • 1 report

    Skills Required

    • Hands-on Controllership experience, must be able to roll up sleeves for month-end close
    • Business Unit Controllership experience required (multi-company preferred)
    • Background in manufacturing or distribution required (PE experience a plus)
    • Strong with costing

    Education & Work Experience

    • CPA or MBA is a nice to have
    • Bachelors'd Degree in Accounting or Finance
