Our client serves the construction industry with services that are designed for construction project management as well as cost and risk management and data analysis. Ideal background of candidates that apply will be the construction industry with the selling of services or solutions to the same. Selling products to the construction industry IS NOT a fit. The position can be based either in Miami, FL or Nashville, TN. Relocation to either of these cities is not available.
The Business Development Manager will create and build client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain projects. This role assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.
General responsibilities include:

- Promote the company's Project Controls to owners, developers, planners, architects, engineers and any appropriate lead by increasing brand awareness, prospecting and engaging new clients, coordinating public relations efforts, attending and participating in trade shows, participating in professional and/or industry organizations;
- Demonstrate and apply complete understanding of all aspects of project controls necessary to build confidence in perspective clientele.
- Identify profitable marketplace opportunities
- Build and manage long-term relationships and partnerships with key and target clients, architectural and engineering principals, to generate leads (both Private and Public projects).
- Follows up on project leads identified by Regional Vice President
- Tracks projects, with consistent contact to Regional VP's, from concept through contract award.
- Attends pre-bid conferences, is primarily point of contact to outside contacts, communicates all relevant information.
- Develop, prepare, coordinate and execute presentations and proposals, with support staff participation, to existing and/or new clients.
- Works with Director of Business Development to ensure accurate bids and proposals are submitted in a timely manner to all clients.
- Close clients, awarding Aegis Project Controls contracting opportunities.
