The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Business Development Lead to add as a key member of our client’s team in Washington, DC. The Business Development Lead position is accountable for developing business strategies and re-developing new business models in context with the goals and visions of the Washington DC Office. Responsible for building cooperative relationships with existing and potential clients, developing business for complete portfolio of services offered and working closely with the related functional sectors to properly deliver the service contracted. The ideal Business Development Lead candidate will offer established business relationships and experience with both commercial and government clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Promotes, develops and maintains relationships with existing and potential clients
· Maintains and strengthens communications with real estate owners, real estate advisory firms, project management and construction management firms and general contractors
· Researches and initiates contact with prospective clients and inquiries about project opportunities and identifies opportunities to perform additional services with existing clients
· Able to discuss the Company’s portfolio and opportunities with clients and summarize project opportunities, size, scope, schedule and fee range with clients
· Assists in the development and coordination of proposals and qualification packages
· Assists Vice Presidents to follow up and coordinate proposals with clients
· Participates and is actively involved in client and industry organizations and events
· Gathers and analyzes marketing information
· Identifies and evaluates client strength, stability, financial responsibility, project quality and client capability
· Collaborate with Vice Presidents and other key stakeholders to develops business development strategies and local market BD plans. Promotes the shared vision of the strategy and assists in implementation
· Work with Vice Presidents and other key stakeholders to identify areas of practice/service lines that require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities
· Coordinates presentations, general information and overall marketing production with the assistance of sector marketing group
· Understands government procurement processes
· Tracks business development opportunities in our CRM system and assists with maintenance of those marketing information systems
· Works closely with Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents, Business Development team and Marketing team
