The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Business Development Coordinator to add as a key member of our client’s team in Kansas City. Our client is a leading international law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach, and is building the world's leading Business Development & Marketing function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide support for strategic business development initiatives.
· Support the Events Manager in organizing and executing client and firm events, including creating invitations and various communications.
· Prepare financial reports, prospective client research and competitive intelligence.
· Assist the business development team in tracking and analyzing all client development activities.
· Support the Business Development Content Supervisor in drafting and editing proposals.
· Administer the InterAction database, including creating and maintaining targeted mailing lists.
· Update the firm's website, including editing lawyer profiles and practice pages.
· Coordinate directory submissions.
· Assist lawyers in identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities to develop and promote their respective business lines.

REQUIREMENTS

· BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or a related field is required
· 2+ years business development and marketing communications experience within a law firm or professional services organization is required
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience with contact and document management systems such as InterAction and FileSite a plus
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels with confidence, a positive attitude and the ability to gain credibility quickly

This Business Development Coordinator requires professional and prudent communications working in a team environment with a diverse group of associates. The Business Development Coordinator should be a team player with strong organizational and writing skills and a sharp attention to detail. He/she should be able to communicate accurately and professionally with both internal and external clients and vendors and to work independently and complete tasks efficiently with minimal oversight. This is a new position within the US business development team with ample room for growth for the right candidate.
