TITLE: Branch Manager
Chemical Distribution

DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing

TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: President of Company

DUTIES:

 

  • Monitor, analyze and control operating expenses for the branch
  • Monitor branch sales and profit activities and assist sales personnel in increasing gross profit
  • Participate in the hiring and firing process with the assistance of HR
  • Assist in solving any special problems or situations with branch operations or personnel
  • Assist upper management in the establishment, interpretation, and implementation of new or refined policies/procedures.
  • Assist both in the selection and qualification of suppliers with the approval of executive staff
  • Provide timely market information to upper management and respond to their special requests for information or actions
  • Familiarity with all commercial operations within the branch and general knowledge of operations affecting quality within each branch
  • Responsible for insuring that a clean and safe working environment is maintained for all employees at the branch
  • Retain confidentiality of all information related to the operations of the branch
  • Maintain capable management and sales persons at branch
  • Act as a mentor to direct reports and work towards the continuous improvement of their skills through training and education for Customer Service, Operations, and Outside Sales.
  • Support and insure compliance to all ISO 9002 standards, procedures and work instructions
  • Responsible for the long-term growth and profitability of the branch
  • Develop marketing plans and strategies for new products or penetration of new market segments within branch catchment area
  • Approve all branch capital expenditures prior to submission to upper management for final approval
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by upper management
  • Maintain sales and gross profit of existing customer base
  • Maintain highest level of Customer Service
  • Maintain Capable Customer Service and Operations Personnel
  • Establish and Maintain a Safety Culture throughout the Operations, Customer Service, and Sales Organization on a daily basis
  • Ensure Branch Level Regulatory Requirements are adhered to and met

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum B.S. or B.A. Degree or Upper Management approval

5+ Years of management experience in chemical, distribution, or industrial environment
