Big Data Engineer (Closed)

Lucas Group is partnering with a global, multi-billion dollar consumer packaged goods company as they build out their internal data analytics and data science team. The Data Engineer will be a critical role to keep data flowing and readily available to drive enterprise-wide programs and projects across all functional areas and business units. This person will focus on data integration, orchestration and automation across the company’s entire data landscape, and build data flow components contributing to analytical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or STEM program
• 2 – 3+ years' data engineering experience
  • ETL, batch, cleansing, flagging, stringing
• Strong SQL experience
• Data integration and orchestration experience with Microsoft Azure
• Hadoop experience
• In-depth experience designing and implementing data flows and pipelines
• Experience in an Agile (ideally SCRUM) environment
• Hands-on experience with data, data modelling, query techniques
• Experience of the FMCG/CPG industry preferred
• Understanding of and experience with data security standards
• Exposure to algorithms in AI, machine learning or deep learning is a plus
• Experience working with SAP or SAP-BW is a plus
