Role Overview:
This role will lead a small team to build, maintain and accelerate the reporting and analytic environment for our client. This is a newly created position that will be accountable for facilitating business intelligence processes, procedures development, implementation and documentation of the build of their new data warehouse and BI reporting (PowerBI). This role will be responsible for leading the design and maintenance of BI applications.

This role is a member of the IT team, reporting directly into the Director of Data and Analytics, and working closely with both IT partners and business leaders to build, maintain, educate and assist with the creation and maintenance of a best in class Enterprise Data Warehouse. Our client is looking for a strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds with development, QA, documentation and other BI related activities as needed.

Requirements:
•    Manage a small team while being hands on. Implement effective processes and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress.
•    Partner with the business to understand and identify key questions, challenges, and KPIs to increase performance and guide accurate decision making.
•    Create and oversee effective ETL processes that utilize and combine data from multiple systems and sources
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or four years of equivalent work experience
•    4-6 years of experience in BI as a developer (management experience is a plus)
•    Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
o    Database design and SQL
o    Creating and Managing ETL processes
o    Report/Visualization creation using reporting packages (PowerBI, Business Objects, Cognos, etc)
