Role Overview: Lucas Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing company on their search for a Benefits Manager located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This person will support benefits for 1,000+ employees and will be in frequent communication with the local union representatives.

Responsibilities:

• Workers’ compensation
• Benefits management and negotiation
• Trustee for several benefits: 401K, pensions, health and welfare, short-term disability, and FMLA
• Communicate with designed union representation to understand regulations and legislation that impacts benefits for multiple states
• Process necessary documentation and manage related HRIS systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Manufacturing, transportation, industrial, or CPG industry experience
• 3+ years of progressive benefits experience
• Experience supporting benefits for a union employee population
• Deep workers' compensation expertise
