Role Overview:  The Benefits and HRIS Specialist is the first point of contact for Talent-related queries from employees and external partners. S/he functions as a link between individuals, teams, and departments providing exceptional customer service to escalate and resolve issues.

Primary Responsibilities

Total Rewards

  • Manage the execution of the annual open-enrollment process
  • Process benefits enrollments, changes and terms, and coordinate COBRA
  • Manage the execution of employee changes with employees and payroll including compensation, new starters, contractual variations, leavers, and benefits
  • Procure and conduct compensation surveys with third-party vendors
  • Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; requesting legal counsel review as needed

Integrated Talent Management

  • Maintain accurate and thorough employee records, both physical and virtual
  • Manage onboarding processes for new hires, including management of corporate housing
  • Manage the execution of talent management processes (e.g., goal setting, performance appraisals) in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Manage the process for requesting and posting internal communications
  • Maintain company directory and other organizational charts

Data & Technology

  • Maintain a shared folder to ensure effective communication with employees
  • Conduct all data entry into the HRIS system and routine audits to ensure the integrity of the data
  • Manage file retention which includes active employees, I9s, termination files, etc.
  • Process and track all Family Medical Leaves, Personal Leaves, and other leaves
  • Manage tracking and delivery of annual, quarterly and ad-hoc reports pertaining to employee information and data including staffing levels, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment and applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, 401k, benefits, compensation, promotions, and diversity and inclusion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration required
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
  • Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Adept at problem-solving, identifying issues and resolving in a timely & professional manner
  • Communicate clearly – clear, unambiguous, and convincing - both written and orally, to build relationships and partner at all levels
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality and emotional maturity
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as job duties demand
