Bankruptcy Specialist Paralegal

Temp to hire (after 3 months) position at a multi-state firm

Creditor's Rights side experience

Responsibilities:

• Draft motions, proof of claims, responses, objections, processing and various other pleadings as needed

• Review Court docket (PACER) and monitor ECF emails for important filings

• Notate our in house file tracking system

• Liaise with clients through various systems * 

• Communicate with attorneys, clients, third parties (such as homeowners), and outside counsel

• Act as telephone point of contact for all files in caseload

• Prepare files and notes for hearings

• Provide staff support as necessary for our firm attorneys

Skills and requirements:

• Must have experience with processing, motions for relief and objections

• Creditor's rights

• At least 1 year experience as a bankruptcy paralegal or legal assistant

• Proof of Claims

• Must be willing to work on a temp to perm basis (with the potential to turn permanent after 3 months)
