Banking and Financial Services Associate (Closed)

Our client, the Chicago office of a finance focused prominent firm, is seeking to hire an Associate to join its Commercial Lending practice group in the Banking and Financial Services Department.  Ideal candidates will have three to five years of experience representing lenders in commercial lending transactions at a law firm, bank or other finance company.

Specific examples of desired experience and prior or current representations include the following:
 

• Representing lenders in commercial finance transactions, in particular, secured and unsecured bank and private equity fund lending from origination through documentation.
• Advising banks, private equity funds and other financial institutions in documenting credit transactions.
• Working familiarity with UCC Article 9 and mortgage and property law.

Strong communication and client relations skills and the ability to simultaneously handle multiple transactions are essential. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills, superior academic credentials as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
