We have partnered with our client in their search for an AWS SRE Architect. (Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Implement and lead SRE practices including observability (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus), incident response, root cause analysis, and SLO/SLI enforcement.
  • Architect resilient, cloud-native infrastructure solutions using AWS services (EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.), emphasizing automation and fault tolerance.

  • Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline to drive deployment efficiency.

Skills Required

  • Lead SRE practices (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, Prometheus), incident response, root cause analysis, SLO/SLI enforcement
  • AWS IaC Tools: Terraform / CloudFormation
  • Container Orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
  • Scripting (Python / Bash)
  • Proven leadership / management experience (strong communication & presentation skills)
PLUS:
  • AWS Certifications
  • Experience with multi-account AWS landing zones & SCPs (Service control policies)
  • FinOps knowledge, cost optimization, & best security practices
  • Familiar with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) & GitOps practices

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-8+ years of hands-on professional experience

Compensation: $70-75 / hour
