Responsibilities
- • Responsible for the end-to-end architecture of the product, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Oversee the rationalization of assets owned or used by the product to optimize performance, cost, and resource utilization.
• Define the target state architecture of the product and drive the achievement of the strategic goals.
• Lay out the architectural runway and develop a technical roadmap to achieve the target state in incremental steps.
• Ensure adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards and guidance, maintaining consistency and compliance across the product architecture.
• Address data concerns and non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, security, and reliability, within the architectural plans.
• Assess the changing needs of the business and its customers to identify the right architecture and technology solutions that support the product.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the product architecture to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.
• Represents a product family of technical governance bodies
• Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices
• Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Skills Required
- • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Practical cloud native experience
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
*Preferred - 603:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional).
• Experience in the Banking Domain.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
• Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its principles for building secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure.
• Experience with Artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.

- Degree BS BA or Equivalent
