Automation Test Lead
Location: Dublin (Hybrid) Type: 12-month contract (move to perm thereafter)
Korn Ferry is hiring for a global Life Sciences client undergoing a significant multi-year technology transformation programme, and we are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to join their team.
This is a high-visibility role sitting within the wider programme environment, with responsibility for shaping and driving the automation approach across multiple concurrent projects. The successful candidate will work closely with delivery, engineering, and business teams to ensure high-quality releases across a complex enterprise landscape.
Key responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate automation test activities across multiple projects
· Define and drive an automation-first approach across the portfolio
· Support the wider test function with governance-related activities
· Work across both automation and functional testing teams
· Help define and agree the most appropriate tooling and automation approach
· Set up and support UI and API automation frameworks
· Allocate work across test teams, agree milestones, and track progress
· Support test estimation, reporting, issue escalation, and portfolio updates
· Influence delivery teams to meet challenging timelines and quality expectations
· Work with quality and compliance stakeholders to ensure appropriate standards and evidence are maintained
· Contribute to test scripting and execution where required during peak delivery periods
· Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tooling, and delivery practices
Required experience
· 6+ years' experience in an Automation Test Lead role within large-scale enterprise environments
· Strong hands-on experience writing automation scripts in C#
· Strong experience testing REST APIs
· Experience setting up and maintaining both UI and API automation frameworks
· Strong understanding of SDLC / STLC, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models
· Experience coordinating multiple test teams across complex projects
· Strong experience with CI/CD and tools such as Azure DevOps
· Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
· Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
Desirable experience
· Experience on large-scale transformation programmes
· Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365
· Exposure to enterprise platforms such as ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, digital, mobile apps, HRIS, with SAP an advantage
· Experience working in a regulated environment, including CSV / GxP, or equivalent highly controlled environments
· ISTQB or other relevant QA / testing certifications
