What You Will Do:
This position would be responsible for overseeing the implementation, modification and maintenance of current automation in manufacturing plants and distribution warehouses. Work closely with ideation and continuous improvement teams to increase or enhance current and/or new processes or equipment.
- Ability to develop and manage numerous small to mid-size automation projects for manufacturing operations
- Propose equipment layouts, define components, develop HMI & control software and composition of applicable technical drawings and documentation
- Maintain the PLC infrastructure with respect to completing new projects, preventive maintenance requirements and system updates in a timely manner
Education and Work Qualifications:
- A working knowledge of the NEC, UL, and all applicable regulations along with best practices experience
- Ability to create and document a functional specification to the customer’s requirements
- Proficient AutoCAD Electrical skills to create a control panel cutout, layout and wiring diagrams. Strong spatial awareness and panel layout best practice skills are a must
- Allen Bradley/Siemens/Automation Direct (and other brands) PLC, interface and data acquisition programming
- PC and database programming ability
- Hands on panel building and field start-up experience
- Strong testing and troubleshooting skills
