Lucas Group has partnered with a Financial Services company on their search for an Associate General Counsel. This role will have a heavy emphasis on employment law and will provide legal support to multiple departments through out the organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, having spent the last several years in-house, focusing on employment law.
Role:
- Offer legal expertise to labor and employment issues for departments through out the company
- Leverage skill set and experience to deliver and manage employee relations matters to include training as necessary
- Provide guidance on investigations
- Conduct research on employment matters
- Manage relations with outside counsel as necessary
- Partner with other departments to proactively identify and solve potential employee relations issues, create strategies around positive employee engagement matters
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the State Bar of Texas
- Minimum 15 years of experience handling employment law issues
- Expert knowledge in employment law
- Ability to partner with various departments to form effective relationships
- Familiarity with California law is a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
