We have partnered with our client in their search for an Assistant Property Management for an multi- family, affordable housing community.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Property Manager to oversee comprehensive operations, encompassing maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, and more.

    Provide support to the Property Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and communication to residents and prospects, aiming to enhance satisfaction and drive renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

    Thoroughly complete lease and renewal paperwork to maintain compliance with company standards.

    Monitor and assess advertising effectiveness and all client traffic.

    Contribute to the team's commitment to being the best national management company by maintaining and modeling the company's mission.

    Assist the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.

    Build and maintain an effective on-site staff through activities such as interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.

    Organize and manage residents' files according to company standards.

    Cultivate a positive living environment for community residents through timely conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.

    Oversee and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.

    Collaborate closely with the leasing staff to ensure the achievement of leasing and marketing goals.

Skills Required

  • 1+ years experienc in affordable housing property management or applicable experience
  • Experience managing the Section 42 compliance proces
  • Proficient in effective communication and customer service.
  • Computer literate, with skills in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
  • Possess general office, bookkeeping, and sales skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Evaluate leasing opportunities among staff and collaborate on goal setting to enhance the performance of each team member.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing goals.
  • Demonstrate effective team management capabilities.
  • Undertake any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education & Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years in property management
