Directs the development and implementation of activities in manufacturing area(s) to meet production and inventory goals, on-time delivery, quality and cost objectives.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and material supply.
Makes budgetary recommendations and controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor headcount.
Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Directs, leads and manages the technical activities of product and process development and enhancements for manufacturing operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs activities in the production, receiving, warehouse, engineering and shipping area(s).
Prioritizes production schedule, equipment, manpower and material to meet customer requirements and delivery needs.
Plans and administers operating budget.
Selects and develops operating and support personnel to ensure efficient operation.
Monitors and mentors completion of work group's tasks and performance.
Directs and leads technical development activities related to product and process requirements.
Responsible for work related documentation that defines product specifications and work practices to manufacture products.
Manages inventory levels for the facility
Provides technical support and training for new facilities
Coordinates and promotes lean activities within the organization
