An exciting opportunity as an Assistant Fund Controller at a leading international financial services company in Dallas has opened-up due to growth. This role will support a Fund Controller in administering the accounting for a range of funds and in maintaining client relationships. As such, this is an exciting position for professionals with strong accounting skills and who also enjoy a client-facing role and have effective client service skills. Management/supervisory experience is required, as this will involve managing a small team that will see headcount increase in the short term. This is a rapidly growing company with a dynamic environment and entrepreneurial culture, so the successful candidate will have demonstrable initiative and a pro-active nature.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of fund accountants.
  • Review journal entries, general ledger, bank
    reconciliations.
  • Financial statement and footnote
    preparation.
  • Income and expense allocations.
  • Review of fund accountant work.
  • Analysis of investment performance.
  • Client relationship management, including
    presentations to clients.

Experience Requirements:

  • 7 – 12 years of accounting
    experience.
  • Any financial services or specific fund accounting experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Under-graduate degree with an accounting or related
    major.
  • Masters preferred.
  • CPA licensed or candidate/eligible
    preferred.
