The Area Leader will supervise and mentor a team of approximately 35 Non-Union hourly associates in the Machining area.  They will ensure an ongoing and smooth production operation with optimal use of resources.  They will look at opportunities to continually improve quality, production, and delivery performance.

Their ideal candidate is someone with strong leadership experience, the ability to mentor and grow their team, and deliver the hard message when needed.  There is plenty of growth potential and they expect someone to be in a role for no more than 2-3 years.

Standard duties:

  • Responsible for attaining daily KPIs for area managed such as safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement
  • Conducts layered audits and ensures that operational processes are being followed consistently
  • Consistently applies and executes policies and standards
  • Organizes material flows and inventory to reach production targets and work in process goals
  • Evaluates staffing needs and assigns available resources
  • Ensures all equipment is routinely maintained
  • Supervises training processes for a team of production staff across multiple departments for shift
  • Coach and develop team leaders
  • Execute daily production plan and continuous improvement activities as set by management

Location: Seneca, SC (37mi SSW of Greenville)

Degree: Bachelor’s required

Experience required: At least 3-4 years of leadership experience in a similar scope (approx. 25+ employees).  Manufacturing leadership experience is a plus.
