Established law firm in Lower Manhattan seeks an immediate Civil Litigation Attorney who has experience in Appeals (this position is focused 80% on appellate work).

Qualified attorney will be licensed in NY, and have 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, appellate practice, and personal injury matters.
- Handle appeals in civil courts
- Draft appellate briefs
- Develop case theories and articulate positions on appellate matters
- assist trial counsel in identifying potential appellate issues and in preserving the trial record for potential appeals.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and factual analysis to craft appellate briefing with regard to complex legal issues.
- prepare notice of appeal
- Draft appellate related legal documents related to the firm's litigation cases
- Participate in calls with joint defense counsel and judges
- Draft memoranda, motions to dismiss and summary judgments
Rate of pay is 45-50/ hr DOE during the temp-to-hire period. Salary DOE upon hire. We look forward to hearing from you!
