Data Engineer:
Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support a targeted data migration initiative within a regulated financial services environment. This role is focused on executing the migration of legacy case management data into an internal data ecosystem, enabling improved compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.

This is a project-based, execution-focused role that requires hands-on expertise in data integration, API connectivity, and data normalization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing detailed data mapping and migration "legwork" across systems rather than designing net-new architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end data migration from a legacy case management platform into an internal data environment.
  • Build and configure API-based integrations to extract data from external vendor systems.
  • Develop and manage REST-based integrations using a third-party integration platform.
  • Stand up and maintain webhook/API connections to enable data ingestion workflows.
  • Perform detailed field mapping between external data structures and internal schemas.
  • Normalize, cleanse, and transform data prior to ingestion into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Load and validate data within a Snowflake-based environment to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support efforts to centralize legacy data and eliminate reliance on external systems.
  • Partner with compliance, analytics, and engineering stakeholders to ensure successful delivery aligned to regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL (non-negotiable).
  • Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Proven experience with data migration, data cleanup, and system-to-system data integration.
  • Hands-on experience working with API integrations, including REST-based architectures.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Ability to perform detailed data mapping and reconciliation across disparate systems.
  • Comfortable operating in a project-driven, execution-heavy environment with minimal oversight.
