We have partnered with our client in Minneapolis in their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's financial operations by efficiently processing vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records. This position requires collaboration within a team environment and ensuring timely processing of payments while delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and processing incoming vendor invoices, ensuring proper routing and tracking for approval.
- Reviewing approved invoices, assigning appropriate account numbers, and applying use tax as necessary.
- Inputting vendor invoices into the accounting system through various methods, including systematic uploads and manual entry.
- Managing company credit card transactions and reconciling activity.
- Coordinating multiple check runs weekly, including printing checks and uploading files to the bank.
- Organizing expense documentation for client invoices, including gathering and copying necessary materials from electronic and paper file systems.
- Maintaining the accounts payable paper file system and assisting with timesheet reviews.
- Auditing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Serving as a point of contact for accounts payable inquiries from internal and external parties.
- Willingness to undergo training for additional responsibilities to enhance operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting or at least 2 years of AP experience.
- Familiarity with accounting software and accounts payable procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately.
- Dedication to providing excellent client service and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Deltek Vision software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing.
- Experience in a multi-company or multi-currency environment.
- Familiarity with paperless office systems.
This position is fully in office in Minneapolis.
