We have partnered with our client in Minneapolis in their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.

The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's financial operations by efficiently processing vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records. This position requires collaboration within a team environment and ensuring timely processing of payments while delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and processing incoming vendor invoices, ensuring proper routing and tracking for approval.
  • Reviewing approved invoices, assigning appropriate account numbers, and applying use tax as necessary.
  • Inputting vendor invoices into the accounting system through various methods, including systematic uploads and manual entry.
  • Managing company credit card transactions and reconciling activity.
  • Coordinating multiple check runs weekly, including printing checks and uploading files to the bank.
  • Organizing expense documentation for client invoices, including gathering and copying necessary materials from electronic and paper file systems.
  • Maintaining the accounts payable paper file system and assisting with timesheet reviews.
  • Auditing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Serving as a point of contact for accounts payable inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Willingness to undergo training for additional responsibilities to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in accounting or at least 2 years of AP experience.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and accounts payable procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately.
  • Dedication to providing excellent client service and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Deltek Vision software.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing.
  • Experience in a multi-company or multi-currency environment.
  • Familiarity with paperless office systems.

This position is fully in office in Minneapolis.
