Alcohol Compliance (Retail Licensing) Project Attorney needed ASAP for Long-Term Project
Rate of pay is hourly 90-100 DOE. This project can be performed remotely and can last 2+ years. WA, OR or CA location ideal but remote candidates are fine.
- Ideal candidate is a 10 – 15 years (or more) senior level attorney who can work independently, without much supervision
- Has subject matter expertise in alcohol licensing laws and alcohol regulatory experience
- Should have in-house experience WITH A RETAIL SELLER OF ALCOHOL.
- Would be working part-time initially, about 20 hours a week for the first 3 months. Would likely ramp up after the first 3 months as we get more of a handle on the work and can start taking on more of it.
- If this work really catches on as we anticipate, it’s possible this could transition to a more full-time role so there are some growth possibilities here.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicating and managing local counsel regarding alcohol licensing applications
- QC-ing applications and advising on them before submission
- Escalating issues to attorneys and Client counsel as needed
- Assisting local counsel with requesting and compiling required information from Client for applications
- Supervising progress on open applications and follow ups
- Point of contact for local counsel
