Senior Accountant (Contract) | SAP S/4HANA | Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity supporting a high-volume corporate accounting team during a critical transition period. This role will focus heavily on month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, AR accounting, and ongoing SAP S/4HANA stabilization efforts.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and post complex journal entries and support monthly close activities.
- Manage Accounts Receivable accounting, funding allocations, reimbursements, and related reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, and account variance investigations.
- Support SAP S/4HANA stabilization efforts through testing, validation, and reconciliation of system feeds and subledger-to-ledger activity.
- Analyze financial data using reporting tools and provide insights to leadership.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support ongoing accounting initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and accounting functions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with journal entries and month-end close.
- Hands-on Accounts Receivable accounting and reconciliation experience.
- SAP S/4HANA experience, ideally in a post-implementation or stabilization environment.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and P&L analysis skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to research variances and identify root causes.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment.
- Experience using financial reporting and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, food & beverage, or large corporate environments.
- Background in bad debt analysis, reserve accounting, and AR analytics.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or system stabilization projects.
- Exposure to Business Objects (BOBJ), HFM, SIPS, or similar reporting tools.
- Prior consulting, interim, or project-based accounting experience.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
