A chemicals company in the Galleria area seeks an Accounting Supervisor to add to their team. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for assisting with month-end close, preparing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, and more.
Accounting Supervisor main responsibilities:
- P&L & Balance Sheet tie out
- Review intercompany suspense and follow up with GBS
- Benefits reporting and analysis
- Revenue Recognition Support
- Co-Star Lease template preparation and quarterly lease completeness reviews
- Work with CPA firm during the quarterly/annual audits
- Maintain general ledger accounts
- Quarterly Balance Sheet analytical review
- Support internal SOX documentation and testing of internal controls
- Complete special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Supervisory experience
- CPA and/or Master’s of Accountancy preferred
