Lucas Group has been engaged to identify a Accounting Manager for a Houston Area Energy company. This position will work closely with the Financial Leadership team and be involved day to day accounting, ME close, financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities Include:
- Full cycle accounting including: maintaining GL, prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries, consolidate entities
- Preparation of financial statements
- Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting package
- Budget to actual analysis, ad hoc analysis
- Liaison for external auditors
- Special projects as needed
- Drives process improvements to streamline close
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- External Audit experience in Big 4 firm highly preferred
- CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel and experience using ERP system
