The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the US and Canada month-end close and preparing/reviewing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Accounting Manager main responsibilities:
- Oversight of the accounting team.
- Liaise with a shared services group.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Manage all aspects of the monthly close
- Monthly Close: Review and approval of all journal entries prepared the by the team.
- Support internal SOX documentation and testing of internal controls.
- Support and review US benefits accounting and allocations.
- Additional special projects as assigned.
Accounting Manager requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 6 years work experience in Accounting.
- Experience handling close for at least a $500MM public entity.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Accounting Manager preferred qualifications:
- CPA and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Public accounting experience preferred, with national CPA firm (or public clients).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
