Lucas Group is partnering with an agricultural technology firm in Lafayette to identify an Accounting Manager. This could be contract or contract-to-hire and would begin as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who had already been a manager to grow their skills, or for a Senior Accountant that is ready to take that next step. Experience with construction accounting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Month-end close
- General A/P duties, including paying vendors, managing aged payables and invoices
- Maintaining prepaid vendor schedule
- Expense report processing using an automated expense reporting tool (Expensify)
- Update prepaid expense and accrued expense reconciliations
- Other GL reconciliations, as assigned
- Maintaining fixed asset database
- Assist in timely monthly close process
- Prepare and process payroll and payroll journal entries
- Administer 401K payroll process
- Maintain and update Insurance Schedules
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- BS in Accounting or related field
- Construction accounting experience preferred
