The Lucas Group has partnered with our client in the Galleria area that is seeking an Accounting Analyst. This is a full-time, long-term contract position that is scheduled to last about 1 year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly/quarterly close process for the business unit by ensuring monthly journal entries are processed accurately and timely.
- Set up and process monthly/quarterly intercompany invoicing Coordinate, prepare and review non MI recharge true up and provisions with appropriate analysis and commentary.
- Leverage various reporting tools to create monthly/quarterly MI reporting, complete with value add variance analysis.
- Coordinate and submit the monthly GFR (Actuals), quarterly GFO (forecast) and annual plan.
- Prepare and present forecast review and commentary on appropriateness with regard to plan, actuals and future activities with key business stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate the balance sheet integrity process for reviewing, verifying and validating balances and compliance assurance.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required. MBA is preferred.
- SAP experience is required.
- Strong cash applications experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
