Accountant
General Ledger and Sub ledger expert, with strong accounting background, knowledge of US GAAP and other guiding principles and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Review, analyze and prepare monthly journal entries for month end close, including accruals, revenue recognition, amortizations, cost allocations, fixed assets and any other that may be required.
• Reconcile monthly accounts by way of preparing balance sheet reconciliations for various legal entities and provide explanations for unusual balances.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate charge allocations, including insurance, stock awards etc.
• Provide support for the internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and support documentation as required for designated accounts, and providing explanations as needed.
• Assist in reviewing and implementing accounting and control procedures as necessary to meet established company goals and comply with regulatory standards.
• Communicate and coordinate with Operations and G&A departments on the submissions of the accounting data needed to complete the month end journal entries and reconciliations. Act as a support for the operational units providing explanations and documentation as requested.
• Other responsibilities may include: monitoring and handling intercompany transactions, cash management, bank reconciliations, recording fixed asset acquisitions and other specific requests as required to support the department.
