Our client, a publicly-held energy company located in Southwest Houston is looking to add an Accountant to their team.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations
- Maintain documents for SOX reporting purposes
- Assist with updating financial statements and disclosures
- Perform month end evaluation of open derivatives positions
- Support SEC reporting team in preparation for quarterly and year-end reporting obligations
- Respond to internal and external audit questions and requests in a timely manner
- Perform special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years related experience, required
- Knowledge of basic accounting and SEC reporting principles, required
- Intermediate excel skills required
