The Lucas Group is searching for a talented, driven and entrepreneurial minded Account Management Manager for our client’s team in Atlanta. Our client is a logistics marketplace startup that will transform the experience around outsourced fulfillment.

The Account Management Manager should be passionate about building a B2B account management team in a new and exciting industry. The Account Management Manager is focused on building relationships and growing the share of wallet with existing customers. This position is the champion of the customer experience and drives growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a first class team of account managers
  • Develop processes and metrics to drive continued improvements
  • Create a culture to build consultative relationships with customers resulting in long term mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Establish a smooth customer onboarding process by measuring results and providing ongoing feedback to product team to optimize customer’s onboarding experience
  • Work with Operations team to address potential problems and ensure a great experience
  • Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge in order to connect with customers
  • Consult with customers about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each
  • Work with product developers to resolve issues and address customer requirements
  • Report on account activity
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers
  • Maintain relevant data on accounts in CRM
  • Work with Growth and Marketing teams to plan and execute lead-generation campaigns
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Marketing or Communications; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years demonstrated success in managing and growing an account base in a B2B environment within a relevant industry experience within Supply Chain or Logistics industries is preferred
  • 5+ years experience building and managing a team of account managers
  • Relevant experience within a digital marketplace or e-commerce setting preferred
