Performing maintenance on machines for specific departments; follow work order assignments; perform job effectively and efficiently; perform all aspects of job safely; exhibit team work; learn the job requirements based on company expectations; follow company policies and procedures.  Perform walk thru of plant machinery on a daily basis recording any defects to electronic work order system or repairing on the spot.  Be willing to take additional training to keep abreast of current technology.  Have understanding of the process to perform better assortment of the troubleshooting process.  Observe and listen to the equipment to detect malfunctioning of it.  Assist
in developing and performing (PM) preventive maintenance routines.  Generate and assist in punch list items to improve machine reliability.  Assist with new installation of equipment and other projects as regulated by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Prior experience with AC, DC, & 110v to 480v
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot & repair DC drives, pneumatics, & mechanical drives
  • Have a good understanding of all processes in place for plant machinery
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Good attendance record
  • Good safety record
  • Basic math skills (+, -, x, /)
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Observation skills
  • Perform all applicable SOP’s with little supervision
  • Able to understand & properly troubleshoot all electrical systems in the plants including drives & PLCs.
  • Able to understand & properly troubleshoot all mechanical, chemical, and hydraulic systems in the plant.
  • Able to work with Mainsaver proficiently.
  • Able to initiate engineering projects based on root cause findings.

Physical Characteristics

  • Lift up to 70 lbs
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Mental alertness and good vision
  • Able to retain new information and part names, including training classes.
  • Standing on feet up to 12 hours a day
  • Use of hands for repairing equipment, sorting & stocking
  • Withstand extreme heat temperatures occasionally
  • Work in a continuous production environment
